Namaste! and Welcome to the cyberspace of India origin community in Fargo, North Dakota. The  objective of Indo American Association of Great Plains IAAGP is to represent  India origin Americans  in North Dakota. IAAGP promotes joint efforts in the social, cultural,  educational, humanitarian and  charitable activities. IAAGP also strives to provide an insight into  multifaceted dynamic face of India  and to enrich knowledge of India origin community in North Dakota. IAAGP brings awareness about  rich culture of India by celebrating Indian festivals, and occasions of vital importance, a few to  mention are; Holi, Navratri, Diwali, and Independence & Republic Day. IAAGP needs your support to  serve Indian community by organizing kids and adults centric activities.   If you are not an IAAGP member, please become a Member.  The purposes for which the Association is formed are: Section 1: To preserve and perpetuate the cultural heritage of people of Indian origin, including the celebration of religious festivals. Section 2: To educate the general public about the culture of India through cultural performances of music, dance & drama and educational lectures. Section 3: To raise, solicit, collect and disburse funds and charitable donations for cultural, educational and humanitarian purposes either directly, or in cooperation with other registered, nonprofit organizations in the USA and abroad. Section 4: To foster friendship and understanding of people of other ethnic backgrounds. Section 5: Provide opportunities to its members to contribute towards the betterment of the community at large. Section 6: To carry on all such lawful activities, which a nonprofit association organized for charitable, religious and educational purposes within the meaning of Sec.501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 may be empowered; provided, however, the Association shall never carry on any political activity, lobby for enactment of legislation, or participate in any activity prohibited by the law for an organization established for charitable, religious and educational purposes within the meaning of Sec. 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
